I heart faces-Week 26-Pets

This is our Dixie Doo. She loves everyone and everything ! Her favorite activities include running, playing in the water, and chewing on everything. This picture was taken last 4th of July, she had been playing in the water all day and finally laid down under the driver seat of the boat for a nap. As soon as I grabbed my camera to take a picture of my sweet sleeping baby she woke up and this is the picture that I got, lol. I have loved looking at http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com/ for a while now but never had the courage to enter anything into any of the challenges, but we all have to start some time so this is my first entry. Wish me luck !!

I don't feel any different

I do not feel any different but the 8 times that I took that silly little test the lines were saying the same thing. Could I really be pregnant ??? Are those test really that accurate ??? So I waited to really tell anyone and get my hopes up until my first doctor's appointment.  

And well .... it turns out that I REALLY AM PREGNANT !! The nurses kept laughing and telling me that if I took that many test and they all said the same thing that I was with out a doubt pregnant. But I did not feel any different?  I did not have morning sickness. I was not about to cry at everything. I felt the same as I always did. That was until I saw you, you were not any bigger then a pea but when I heard your little heart beating and I saw you everything was different. I felt different, not with morning sickness or anything, but with a different outlook on everything.  I was going to be a mom. I was going to be responsible for this little person inside me and even through there was a lot of fear there was more pure happiness. I could not stop smiling and I called your dad right away to tell him the news and show him the pictures. I met him out at work to bring him some lunch and when I showed him you, he could not stop smiling !!

That says what ????

On March the 12th of 2010 ( our 6 year wedding anniversary) I found out that I was pregnant will you. I was in total shock but at the same time I could not stop smiling.

Warm Feet .....Warm Heart !

I came across this site hannahssocks.org the other day and I thought that I would share it with everyone.

On a chilly Thanksgiving Day in 2004, 4-year-old Hannah Turner was helping serve dinner to the needy. In the middle of the hustle and bustle of doing her part to fill plates, she tugged on her mother Doris' sweater.

"Mommy, won't his feet be cold?"

Hannah had focused on a man in line wearing shoes that had split open to reveal he had no socks on, and her small face reflected concern.

Doris tried to reassure her: "His shoes will keep his toes warm." She didn't know how they could help with all staff focused on the meal, and she didn't want her daughter carrying a burden.

Hannah — too smart, too big of heart — was unconvinced.

"Mommy, he can have my socks," she said.

That next day, Doris took Hannah to purchase and distribute socks to local shelters. They were able to collect and donate over 100 pairs around Toledo. Over two more years, and with amazing support from friends and family, they distributed nearly 10,000 total pairs of socks to partner shelters.

I think that this is a really amazing story. It shows you that no matter what your age is and no matter how big the gesture is you can make a difference. With some thing as small as socks this little girl is able to help others. I do not know about you but putting on a nice clean pair of warm socks makes a huge difference to me .

Since starting this program they have teamed up with Clorox to make sure that have EVERYONE has a warm pair of socks to wear.

Thinnerware

I was reading my bhg magazine and came across a article for thinnerware. Some of you may of heard about this already but I haven't. As much as I wish and pray that I was one of those people that could eat anything and get away with it, as luck would turn out I am not ! I have to watch everything that I eat and work out like crazy just to maintain an over weight status. I get so sick of counting calories and SO sick of having to measure food in order to count calories. I plan on ordering some of this dinner ware and seeing how much easier it makes my life. If anyone has some already please leave me a comment or send an email and let me know how you like it.

I got an iphone !!!!

ok I have to say that I was one of those people that did not see what was so great about the iphone. I thought yeah it looks cool but I do not want to spend that kind of money on a phone.

WELL .... We have been with alltel for about 5 years now and well they were great at first but then we moved and well where we live we have NO service. We got sick of never having any service any where and still paying $200 a month, FOR WHAT ????

Finally my husband got sick of it and went the other day and switched over to at&t. He called me and told me what he was doing and said ok well just get me any kind of phone it is not really a big deal. I do not want to spend a lot of money. Well he came back with a new iphone for me and him and well I have to say that I LOVE IT !!!!! I have no idea why I did not get one of these things along time ago. It is so useful and convenient.

I am one of those crazy people that has a purse full of EVERYTHING. I always have my phone, a camera, a planner, my ipod, and a thousand more things. Needless to say my purse weighs 20 pounds. But now I can do all of that on this one little thing !!!! yes as you can tell I am very happy with my new phone ....... I have such a great husband, lol !!!!

Does anyone really get 8 hours of sleep a night ???

I can not stand it when I am all nice and sleepy and then I go lay down and I am wide awake !!!! As much as I would love to be one of those people that can sleep 8 hours (as it is recommended by doctors) I am just not!!!!!!! I am doing good to get a soiled 4 hours of sleep. I usually wake up about 6 times a night ... why ? if anything makes a noise I am up ! I am a light sleeper were as my husband is not a light sleeper, he would not hear it if a train came through the house. As long as you do not take his covers off and turn on the light then he will sleep through anything else ..... MAN, that must be nice !!!!!!!!!!! For me to sleep like that I have to be heavily medicated.

Coconut Oil

While I was looking at this site a while back I saw this http://www.uniquelyplaced.com/2009/04/coconut-oil-my-new-beauty-love.html ..... at first I was very nervous about trying this but thought " what is there to lose, if I do not like it then I really have not wasted anything. " Well I have been using coconut oil for a little over a month now and I LOVE it. I have really dry skin and it works wonders for me ! And I also use it on my face .... and no it does not break me out or feel oily, it has actually cleared my face up. I do not like wearing foundation because it feels so heavy and like I have tons of makeup on. I like to just use a little bit of power but with dry skin some times just using power it would make my skin even more dry. well now I use the coconut oil and then brush a little power on and it looks great. no more dry flaky patches !!! This is great for people who have REALLY dry skin !!!!

St. Louis

I had a great time in St. Louis. The drive up there how ever is a different story. It rained almost the whole drive and I am not talking about just a little here and there I am talking about I can not see the car in front of me... it was not fun. But the closer we got to st. Louis the rain went away and the sun come out to play :-) !!!!

The Arch was huge !!!!

we went to the top of the arch and it was an interesting ride to the top. We had to sit in these little pod looking things and at that point was very happy that I am not a very tall person. If you were taller then I would say 5'6 then you had to bend over the whole 4 minute ride up there. 4 minutes is not bad but there are 5 to a pod so it could get a little uncomfortable but we were very lucky and everyone in our little pod was very nice.



The next day we walked around St. Louis some and then we went to the Anthony Rapp book signing. I did not even know that he had a book out and was not going to buy it but then he starting talking about what it was about and well it sounded really good to me so I had to buy a copy. I have not started reading it yet but will let everyone know what I think about it when I finish it.He was a really funny down to earth guy. I was not a huge fan before but after meeting him I would say that I am huge fan of his now.


RENT was great both nights. I got to meet some of the cast the first night but the second night some little girl passed out when Anothy came out so no one else came out that night. But that is ok. I am not really big on having to get their autographs I went to watch the show that is what I did. The last day before coming home we ate at St.Louis bread company, then went to Borders books and then whole foods. I wish El Dorado had atleast one of these things. All would be wonderful but I would take just one. It is so sad how far you have to drive to get to stores like this :-( ....... but any way we had a great time in St. Louis !!!

Day off and Dixie !!

Me and tony finally had day off together :-) so we took dixie to the river, since we finally got the boat back. I did not take many pictures and they are not that great, because wet dog, nice camera..... ummmm yeah I did not want to take too many chances.



I just love her eyes here !!! she can not hardly wait for you to throw it, LOL !!!

Halloween

Well I hope that every one had a great Halloween ? We did not do much on this end. I dressed up for work and that was about it. we both were not feeling real great and we both had to work the next day so it was really just another night for us.

We did dress up for work. YES, we are the village people ! I know it is silly but isn't that what Halloween is all about.



Then we had a pumpkin carving contest. These are not the best pictures because I waited to long to take them.. my pumpkin was already soft :-( ... YUCK !!!!
But it gives you an idea of what it kind of looked like.
